With a combined teaching experience of over 40 years in both public and private school settings, the Bowens bring a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to providing a nurturing and Christ-centered learning environment. My name is Cathy Bowen, and I am the Principal and Teacher at Walk by Faith Christian School. I have over 25 years’ experience working with children from Infants to High School. I recently was a long-term substitute teacher for Kelly Educational Staffing and taught 2nd grade. I have an Accelerated Christian Education Certification. I am CPR/1st Aid certified. I had my CDA and Directors Credential as well as numerous in-service trainings through the Department of Children and Families and The Early Learning Coalition. My dream has always been to open a Christian School because I feel that children need a smaller class size, more one on one and to have a teacher that truly cares about their education. God has blessed me beyond imaginable. I am 4 years cancer free. I have 2 adult children, and I am happily married to my best friend. My goal for each and every child that enters Walk by Faith Christian School is to succeed in academics, be ready for the real world and to learn who God is.
My name is Daniel P. Bowen. I am the Administrator and Teacher at Walk by Faith Christian School. I am an ordained minister and also hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I have a lifetime CDA through the Department of Children and Families and I have numerous trainings with The Early Learning Coalition and Department of Children and Families. I also served in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne 2/17 Cav C troop. I have been teaching in private and public schools for over 20 years.
I have seen students struggle with no help in ever rebuilding that foundation that every child needs to be successful in the classroom and in the real world. My goal is to provide the help each child needs to succeed in their future endeavors.

Ms. Cathy was an exceptional teacher for my son. Whenever he encountered something unfamiliar or challenging, she always took the time to sit with him and patiently guide him through it. Her dedication and personalized attention made a real difference in his learning. Communication between teacher and parent was excellent- she kept us well informed and engaged throughout the year. I have known Cathy and Daniel since my teenagers were small. They were both teachers at my children’s preschool. Being a teacher myself, I felt very comfortable leaving my children with them. Testing Fee $50.00 (grades 2nd through 12th only)
